What the statuses mean

Supported: at least one SMS text-ready center is listed and its carrier compliance deadline has passed as of the registry date. Countywide coverage and live service are not verified.

Not listed: no matching center in this snapshot. Registration is voluntary. Service may still be available.

Unknown: pending, RTT-only, incomplete or ambiguous entries. We cannot determine support.

County boundaries are not 911 routing boundaries. Connecticut’s legacy registry counties do not match its current Census planning regions. Unresolved names make otherwise unlisted counties in that state Unknown.

Location & privacy

County and ZIP searches stay on your device. Street addresses are sent to the U.S. Census geocoder when you press Search. The location button requests browser permission and sends coordinates to the Census to find your county. This app does not save addresses or coordinates. Your device’s accuracy can cross county boundaries.

ZIP results use 2020 Census areas, which can span counties and differ from postal delivery boundaries. New and PO-box-only ZIPs may be missing.
